Elder Education Institute Workshops

The Elder Education Institute offers professional and community based workshops on topics related to the special needs of our elders. Our professional level courses are approved by the WMHCA for Continuing Education credits for Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists and Licensed Clinical Social Workers. Some courses will offer CEs from the National Association of Social Workers and other national accrediation organzizations. All service providers are welcome to attend.

• May 15th, 2024,  9am-12:30pm - Decisional Capacity in Older Adults: An In-Depth Look at Assessments with Case Studies with Karin Taifour, MA,LMHC, GMHS - 3 CEUs from the Washington Mental Health Counselor's Association for Washington State licensed social workers, mental health counselors and family and marriage counselors. All serivice providers welcome. 
• June 26th, 2024,  9am-4:30pm -PTSD and Older Adults with Kris Frederickson, MSW, LICSW - 6 CEUs from the Washington Mental Health Counselor's Association for Washington State licensed social workers, mental health counselors and family and marriage counselors. All serivice providers welcome.
